Regina Spektor Annouces New LP
Regina Spektor came out strongly on tour with her last album “Begin To Hope” playing all the big summer festivals starting with Coachella through Lallapaloosa. However not much has been seen or heard of the sweet little Russian born artist for the last two years. She has done a few side projects such as the Disney film song “The Call” which was played at the end of the film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. She also recorded and performed with Ben Folds in his single, “You Don’t Know Me“, and, most recently, performed at a beneift concert with Ra Ra Riot at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC for a planned parenthood group which I attended for a Birthday present from my partner (see photo).
However, Regina has been flying fairly low on the radar until her announcement today of her new album. The news is that it will drop on 6/23 and it will be titled, “Far”. Addtionally, titles for three of the songs, “Laughing With” — the first single, “The Calculation,” “Blue Lips” and “Eet” have been confirmed thus far.
I’m excited to not only hear the first singles released but to see her tour again!
