Bell X1 are an Irish rock band who are rapidly growing in popularity here in the United States. Paste Magazine has called them “one of Ireland’s greatest bands” In March they released their 4th album, Blue Lights On the Runway. The music video released today of the song, “The Ribs of A Broken Umbrella”, is off their latest album. One of my favorites songs, lyrically is “In Every Sunflower” wherein they penned the phrase, “My book has more bookmarks than pages. Cos it take me ages..”
Another favorite song is “West of Her Spine” with the verse, “..I’ll lie here a while. It’s here I’ll raise my flag. And claim this land as mine. Just south of her shoulder. And west of her spine
