Sunday Under the Covers

   This week’s covers come from a variety of bands I have heard on the net this week. The first one is a local Portland electro pop band, Starfucker, who recently released an an 8 track EP, Juniper, that includes a cover of “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, by the much adored, Cyndi Lauper.

The next one comes from a Band that Portland’s Alela Diane joined over the summer as a side project, Headless Heroes, and is a beautiful cover of a Daniel Johnston song, “True Love Will Find You In the End”. I just love Alela’s voice.

Phoenix has been taking up endless blog space lately with the news of their upcoming album (May 25th) Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix This is another excellent cover song from a great band of Air’s “Playground Love”.
