Weinland Debut New Video “I’m Sure It Helps”

From the Portland band Weinland (formerly John Weinland) an independent band that plays a mix of Norfolk, folk-pop, Americana, alt-country and indie-rock music. Currently they have 3 studio albums in their catalog:

* Demersville (2006)
* La Lamentor (2008)
* Breaks in the Sun (April 2009)

The members consist of: John Adam Weinland Shearer – Vocals and guitar; Aaron “Rantz” Pomerantz – Dobro, mandolin, vibes, lap steel, accordion; Rory Brown – Bass; Ian Lyles – Drums, percussion, banjo; Paul Christensen – Keyboards.

Over the summer they had created a new video which they made mention of and had a viewing premiere for at the Doug Fir Lounge here in Portland but no mention of it at all this past week on the blogs or their myspace or even official website when it finally dropped. Beautiful song, set to a nice fall setting that finds John and Co. singing in a forested setting amongst the trees… but something unexpected comes to visit them taking this sweet song in a new direction… even better!
