Sekkt plays international boogaloo – the bastard child of world music and beats – often Gypsy or Balkan, with a generous side helping of Funk, a pinch of Jazz, generously garnished with electronica.
Sekkt is made up of siblings Pavel (vocals, trumpet, accordion), Lenka (vocals, saxophone) and Matija (vocals, trombone) who have been playing music together since they were children. They learnt guitar, vocals, saxophone, trumpet and accordion, and everything from classical music and jazz, to Balkan folk music.
