Today Remote Control Records announced the signing of Saskwatch to its current Australian roster
Back in 2012 we shared Saswatch’s rather remarkable performance on Melbourne’s BalconyTV for “Two Hearts” and received a lot of positive feedback. Since then the band has earned a reputation as one of Melbourne’s most electrifying live acts in the local music scene.
This 9-piece band have taken their unique music to some of the Australia’s biggest and best festivals, including Bluesfest, Meredith and Falls. They have graced the same stage as Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Maceo Parker, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Earth, Wind and Fire. Their 2012 debut album, Leave It All Behind, was released to critical acclaim and their single, “Your Love”, fast became a triple j favourite.
After the astounding success of the bands most recent single ‘Hands’, which received significant triple j & community radio airplay in the closing months of 2013, Saskwatch are back with new single ‘Born To Break Your Heart’ and the announcement of the release of their sophomore album Nose Dive in April this year.
