We were on board with Aussie electro pop duo Bag Raiders early in 2009 when they were building momentum with their dance worthy track “Shooting Stars” ramping up to their 2010 debut LP which was so popular that it has kept them busy touring as well as inspired countless remixes through out the past 4 to 5 years. To put their earlier work in context, in 2009 they were rated at No. 11 on the inthemix website’s poll of Australia’s top 50 DJs. Their track, “Shooting Stars” was listed at No. 18 in radio station Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2009. In the next year’s list, “Way Back Home”, reached No. 46. Now four years after their self titled debut was released they have relocated from Australia to LA and are in the midst of recording a long-awaited, upcoming sophomore release. Today, SPIN Magazine debuted the first taste of the album with the track ‘Nairobi” which has some conga rhythms mixed with their signature electronic beats and guitar riffs.
